This is Dianna's description of her winning image:

First Light at Sherwood 

Image of morning light breaking through the mist at Sherwood Garden in Devon.

I liked how the shaft of sunlight and the juxtaposition of the trees framed the Magnolia tree in the distance which seemed to glow, in tandem with the light. I am also drawn to the sculptural quality of bare trees which are always beautifully enhanced by mist.
