Another PGPA win in the latest IGPOTY projects!

Carole Drake takes the top slot for the Plants and Water category of the IGPOTY projects with her beautiful image of the Pond at the Old Rectory, Netherbury

A late afternoon in May, enjoying wonderful soft filtered sunlight in the garden at the Old Rectory, Netherbury. I especially liked the new copper beech leaves in the top right of this shot, as their gingery colour offsets the mass of different greens in the compostion, and the way the summerhouse is framed. The water in the foreground, with its water lily leaves and pond weed, reflects the light to bring an extra quality to the image.

A finalist place also goes to Dianna Jazwinski for 'Cool in the Heat'.
